In Singapore a serviced residence for rent comes in two groups:
Luxury Serviced Apartments
Quite similar to any five-star hotels out there, they usually provide with laundry, gym and its own housekeeping and even a swimming pool and concierge services.
Budget Serviced Apartments
These are the ones that cater to budget conscious travelers while still providing all the essential and important services.

Now that you have already chosen a property that you plan to rent, you can now follow this simple and short check list:
-You'll need to obtain a description of the property you are renting, the location, if it is near some roads, the rail way the airport etc. Check descriptions and details about its rooms and furnishings. Check all the amenities like the kitchen, and the appliances the bathroom.
-Check the numbers of beds that are available and also their sizes. Check if linen towels are provided. Also you need to see if the phone only gets incoming or unrestricted calls.
-If in case you are still on the web and if you are in contact with the owner of the residence you are about to rent, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to ask for some photos of the place. With this you can immediately assess the quality of their services ad rooms.
-Ask about the requirements for your renting. Deposits and if there are any, down payments. Like how you should ask for a receipt, you can ask for a simple and complete breakdown or a list of the things you need to pay for so you can budget ahead of time.

-Check if there are any additional costs if there are indeed any.

Once these are all said and done, and you are, of course absolutely sure that the place that you are about to rent is safe and legitimate, you can now go on and settle in.
