Local vs Online Florists

Although there are many positives from the internet – many self-made businessman run entire corporations from home, for example, and it has opened up millions of job opportunities worldwide – it does have its drawbacks. For example, many high street and brick and mortar stores are beginning to struggle to meet the demands of an online presence. Many companies are losing business to online equivalents, and cannot afford to match the demand or prices of competitors, meaning many small businesses are turning to online to save themselves, or face financial ruin.

Despite the many positives of online buying, it does remove several elements and does have its negatives. For example, if you order items online, you need to wait for them to arrive. They could then be lost, or stolen, or broken, late, anything at all. If you buy an item directly from the store, you do not have this problem.

However, many online florist in Singapore are still seeing major success in the offline world. Because flowers are very valuable, a lot of people feel there is too much potential for damage if ordered online. Another issue is many online stores are much more expensive than local counterparts; as many of them actually buy from local stores and add extra on to make a profit. Some online websites are merely taking people for extra because of the convenience – which offers no value to either the original store, because they are losing out on business, or the customer as they are paying over the odds.
