Dentists in Singapore

I really suppose we should first define the term 'a good dentist'. One possible definition may be established on the merit of price but we are talking about Singapore here. The cost of dentistry here is doubtlessly less than it is where you live, so by that factor alone all dentists in Singapore would automatically be better.

Another factor in whether a dentist is considered good or not might be waiting time for services. Dental offices in the profit fanatical west seem to have devolved in service versus inconvenience. A patient really has to be patient to get dentistry done there. You set a theoretical appointment time but when you get to the waiting room, you nearly need to take a number to wait for far too many others that were scheduled for exactly the same time. Drastically less waiting time is another area where dentistry in Singapore automatically rates better.

Having to wait in a waiting room is especially frustrating if you really think about why the waiting room exists. The dentist intentionally schedules more than he or she can possibly handle at once so the excess stack up in the waiting room and the dentist can work though them in assembly line fashion with no breaks in between - except the breaks the dentist takes while patients are impatiently waiting. You are intentionally inconvenienced to maximize the dentist's time. The dehumanizing fact that your dentist believes his or her time is extremely more valuable than yours is rubbed into your nose on every visit to a Western dentist.

So now we've established the ground rules of what we are comparing, let's drill down to how we will rate one from the others. The bottom line is that dentists in Singapore are very likely to offer you an improved service quality in terms of wait times and the cost will almost certainly be less too. Now you know where you will go for dental work but which specific dentist in Singapore will you opt for?

The question of which dentistry clinic you choose is really where the rubber hit the road as it were, and it starts to depend on the specifics of your personal situation. Do you need general dentistry or extensive orthodontic work? Is there a clinic that is more convenient to where you're staying? Do you prefer having a male or a female dentist work on your teeth? These and other questions could affect your choice of dentists in Singapore. So where do you attain the answers?
I guess the best advice I can offer here is to suggest using the Internet as your guide. Look for a database or listing of dentists in Singapore with the pertinent information and then narrow down your selections from there. You can find great dentists and exceptional dentistry value in Singapore. With a little Internet legwork, I'm sure you will easily find the perfect dentist in Singapore for both your needs and your budget.
