The Art Of Soy

Have you ever just wanted to do something yourself, but just did not know how? Well as you read you will learn the steps to making homemade natural milk from the soybean. Soy is a bean that is native to Asia and has been used for years in cooking and in beverages. Imagine drinking refreshing glass of ice-cold milk and it coming from your own kitchen and you have the ease of knowing where it came from.

Now to start take one-cup of raw soybeans; soak the beans in a glass bowl large enough for the beans and water, over night. After soaking, the soybean should have soaked up all of the water and now you enter step two of making your own delicious soy milk. From this point scoop the soybeans into a blender then add three cups of filtered water according to the volume you are trying to make start to blend for two minutes.

After the beans are blended finely. Take the creamy soy and water mixture; Get a virgin cotton bag from your local health food store and pour in bag to start the straining process. With a large pot and clean hands squeeze the bag of soybeans to release the liquid inside. Now take the pot and heat the elixir on the stove until it starts to boil. As it boils watch keep a watchful eye and scoop out the foam as it rises.

 Once you see the boiling process start promptly remove your pot and set it aside to chill. Now add agave sweetener or brown sugar if needed for added taste. Once cooled put it into the refrigerator and enjoy. This form of milk is easy to make fun for all and cost effective. It can be used in many ways from milk for pancake mix to cereal or just enjoyed by the glass full.

 Also for great for vegetarians and vegans, because it’s made at home with the guarantee that no animal bi products entered the preparation stage so there no worries. Soy made milk is especially good for those that may have a problem with drinking conventional milk because of lactose intolerance.
